Épines dorsales (Total): 0; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 56-61; Épines anales 0; Rayons mous anaux: 51 - 55; Vertèbres: 64 - 67. Caudal fin rays 8-9. Premaxillary teeth absent or 1-15 present anteriorly on each premaxillary. Complete set of uniserial row of simple triangular, anteriorly slanting canines on each side of lower jaw. Pectoral fins notched.
