Espinas dorsales (total): 7; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 8; Espinas anales 2; Radios blandos anales: 8; Vértebra: 24. Fresh samples are translucent lavender, silvery over abdomen; head naked, except opercle with large scales. Anterior nostril in a short membranous tube with a short posterior flap. Longitudinal series, 31 scales. Convex interorbital space.
