Morphologie | Morphométrie
Épines dorsales (Total): 0; Épines anales 0. Eyes very large; snout long and sharply pointed. Head ridges narrow and sharp. Light organ small and not readily visible externally. Color is pale ochre overall; the abdomen bluish below the upper level of the pectoral-fin base; the mouth and gill cavities black.
Feeds on gastropods, bivalves, polychaetes, and percarid crustaceans.
