Duri punggung (Keseluruhan (total)): 9 - 11; duri punggung lunak (Keseluruhan (total)): 13-14; Duri dubur 1; Sirip dubur lunak: 12 - 14; vertebrata, bertulang belakang: 26. Pelvic fins totally united into rounded disk. First dorsal high, greyish; spots and elongate spines absent; when appressed reaching D2 origin. Second dorsal with dusky stripe mesially; whitish spots medial to this stripe. Caudal fin blackish medially. Anal fin translucent, spots and stripes absent (Ref. 35996).
