Africa: widespread in the Congo River basin, from the lower Congo up to Luapula-Moero and Lake Bangweulu (Ref. 1878), in Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola and Zambia. Also reported from the Malagarazi (Ref. 36901) in Tanzania (Ref. 4967).
