Espinas dorsales (total): 0; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 56-61; Espinas anales 0; Radios blandos anales: 51 - 55; Vértebra: 64 - 67. Caudal fin rays 8-9. Premaxillary teeth absent or 1-15 present anteriorly on each premaxillary. Complete set of uniserial row of simple triangular, anteriorly slanting canines on each side of lower jaw. Pectoral fins notched.
