Life cycle and mating behavior Maturity | Reproduction | Spawning | Eggs | Fecundity | Larvae

Females attach their eggs to aquatic vegetation and other submerged materials, e.g. Melaleuca sp. roots found in banks and margins of rivers (Ref. 35356). Distinct pairing (Ref. 205).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.01122 (0.00514 - 0.02450), b=3.04 (2.87 - 3.21), in cm total length, based on all LWR estimates for this body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  2.7   ±0.34 se; based on food items.
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (tm = 0.5; tmax = 3; Fec = 370).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (14 of 100).
