Size / Weight / Age
Maturity: Lm ?  range ? - ? cm
Max length : 8.0 cm TL male/unsexed; (Ref. 7050)
Body depth 7-11 times into total length; entirely plain color pattern (Ref. 12693).
Facultative air-breathing in the genus (Ref. 126274); Lives in streams with muddy bottom, among shore vegetation or leaf litter (Ref. 56749). Found near the bottom in sluggish parts of rapidly flowing streams. Usually occurs as scattered individuals over sand substrates in fairly shallow water. Probably spawns in flooded forests in very shallow water. Feeds mainly on benthic invertebrates. Not fished commercially (Ref. 12693), but used as food for caged fishes (Ref. 56749).
