Occurs from Suruga Bay to off the Ryukyu Islands. Also near the Ogasawara Islands. First record from the western North Pacific was based on 2 specimens stranded on Miho Beach, Suruga Bay in 1976. Outside the range (Ref. 4479); occurrence needs to be verified. Also Ref. 39633. |
