Found in lagoons and estuaries, often in groups (Ref. 36731). Not a target species, but caught with bottom trawls, purse seines, longlines and hook-and-line (Ref. 27121). Popular catch of shore and skiboat anglers but usually released after capture. Also Ref. 12484.
