Comments |
Inhabits upland streams. Found in the Tonlé Sap and several tributaries, in 20 to 25 cm depth water with moderate current of less than 1 m/sec (Ref. 12693). Occurs in Srepok, a tributary of the Sekong, itself a tributary of the Mekong, originating from the Kontum plateau and Annamite Cordillera; mostly collected near Ratanakiri and Bounlon and especially at Bounlon's Grande Cascade (Ref. 39226). Fishes were collected both upstream and downstream of the waterfall during the dry season. During high-water season, the water level rises drastically and the falls are no longer an obstacle for fishes that can move either in the mainstream or through side rivulets resulting from the floods (Ref. 39226). Outside distributional range, occurrence needs further confirmation. |
