Known from Apalachicola River drainage in Georgia, Alabama and Florida; adjacent tributaries of Savannah, Altamaha, and Coosa rivers in Georgia, and Tallapoosa River in Georgia and Alabama. Possibly introduced into Hiwassee River system in Georgia (Ref. 86798).
