Occurs throughout the country (Ref. 7424). Known from the Mekong, Chao Phrya, Tapi and Rayong (Ref. 2091), Maeklong and Peninsular Thailand rivers systems (Ref. 26336). Reported also from Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Nakhon Sawan, Nan, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Phrae, and Chanthaburi (Ref. 37773). Museum: Mekong mainstream, CAS 79157 (Bung Kan); CAS 96297 (between Pak Ing and Jom Paeng, about 4-5 km downstream) (Ref. 5515). Occurrence of the species L. burmanicusin Chao Phraya needs further confirmation (Ref. 26580). Also Ref. 7050, 9648, 36654, 43281.
