Known from east coast south to Durban (Ref. 188, 3259), sometimes abundant in the larger turbid northern KwaZulu-Natal systems (Ref. 58350). Also known from Lake Saint Lucia (Ref. 36761, 58350). Large shoals enter Durban harbour and tons may be stranded in the dry-dock when this is drained; generally not caught by fishers (Ref. 12484). Also Ref. 11228. |
