Comments

Records refer to Hemibagrus wyckioides (Ref. 43281). Reported from the Mekong mainstream at Hat Village, Muang Khong District (Ref. 37769). Undertakes upstream migration during the wet season in July-August through Hoo Som Yai at the Great Fault Line on the Mekong River, Champassack Province (Ref. 37771). Caught throughout the year and probably is the most abundant large catfish in Ban Hang Khone. Enters flooded forest in July-October during the months of high water. A number of very small individuals were observed in June-July indicating that it breeds locally. Feeds on shrimps, fish and crabs. Caught on hooks, "bet ken" or "bet piak" (individual hooks or setlines) (Ref. 9497). Also Ref.9497, 56905.
