Known from the rivers Kwamatelsa (lower Congo), Lindi, Ikonga and Mobe (middle Congo), Lualaba system (rivers Lualaba, Lufira, Kilwezi and Londo), Aruwimi system (rivers Aruwimi and Ituri), Ubangi system (rivers Ubangi, Uele, Dungu, Aka and Garamba) and the Kasai system (rivers Kasai, Lueta and Kabalakese) (Ref. 44050).
