Apparently off Rio Grande do Sul, but needs confirmation (Ref. 188). Ref. 27363 gives Santos as northernmost occurrence. In Lagoa dos Patos, southern Brazil eggs were found mainly in spring and summer, in high salinity waters, but the larvae could tolerate low salinities (Ref. 188). Located at the southernmost tip of the Bombinhas peninsula, southern Brazil (Ref. 55758).
