Vagrant individuals were detected at the SE coast of Brazil. Photograph record taken of an individual, ca 35-40 cm SL, in the Laje de Santos Marine State Park, a marine protected area, located 36 km south of the city of Santos, São Paulo State. This extends the known range of the species >3,900 km (Ref. 58066). Also Ref. 112830.
