Type locality, Lizard I., Queensland, AM I.24072-001 (holotype of Bryaninops loki). Known from Hibernia Reef, WA (11°58'S), Marchinbar I., NT (136°44'E) and Lizard I., QLD (14°40'S) to Rib Reef (18°28'S), QLD and to Montague I., NSW (Ref. 75154). Also Ref. 9002.
