Found in the drainage systems of Lake Mweru, Lake Mweru Wantipa and the Luapula-Bangweulu (Ref. 47311), including Lake Young, Luombo river, and Chambezi river drainages in northern Zambia (Ref. 3788, 31267, 47311). Also recorded from Luongo River (Luapula tributary, upper Congo River basin)(Ref. 27609). Present in Kasanka National Park (Ref. 95585). Also Ref. 27139.
