Comments: First record and proposed to have been introduced by ballast water of ships or as aquarium fishes. Recorded from Port Said on 23 August 2016 (12.5 cm TL, 8 g total weight) and on 10 November 2016 (3:7.0-13.0 cm TL, average weight 5.07 g) and from off Damietta on 22 February 2017 (6:13.0-14.0 cm TL, ave. wt. 13.1 g) (Ref. 125474).
