Known from Batanes, Babuyan Is., Iloilo, Negros Oriental, and in Mindanao. Museum: Batanes Prov., Ibahos I., W side, N end, USNM 293726 (holotype of E. similis, 2.46 cm SL, male) (Ref. 27223). Also in Ref. 90102.
