Known from Sorsogon City (Ref. 58652). Museum: Visayan Sea, between northern Negros and Masbate I.: sw of Caduruan Pt., 0 - 75 m, USNM 260478; n of Tanguingui I., USNM 260479; nw Guintacan I., USNM 260687 (Ref. 11790). One large sample collected from Bulan, Sorsogon, USNM 55898 (as Platophrys palad, holotype, 15.5 in (39 cm)) (Ref. 1555).
