Comments:
Known from two rivers in southern New Caledonia. Inhabits shallow and clear-water riffles with slow to moderate current in rivers with substrate of small to medium gravel. Elevations of type localities of adult specimens range from 18 m (in Couvelle R.) to 250 m (in Dothio R.), however, it may be an amphidromous species (Ref. 39635).
