Occurs in the north lagoon and St. Vincent Bay (Ref. 9070). Recorded from Ouvéa Atoll, Loyalty Is. (Ref. 13236); sight record from the Chesterfield Is. (Ref. 11897). Specimens caught off Nouméa were infested by Lamellodiscus magnicornis and L. parvicornis found between secondary gill lamellae (Ref. 83656). Also Ref. 50302, 50314.
