Known from the Mekong basin (Ref. 43281). Found in Ban Hang Khone at Don Khone, 3 km below the fall line of the great waterfalls of the Mekong basin at Lee Pee (Ref. 9497). Collected from Tha Ngon, Island Don Tiane, Tha Bo and Hatsalao of the Mekong basin (Ref. 4792). Observed to undergo migration at the fishing village of Ban Wernsonkhram on Don Hat (Hat Island) above the Lee Pee Waterfalls (Ref. 10431). Also undertakes upstream migration during the wet season in May-July through Hoo Som Yai at the Great Fault Line on the Mekong River, Champassack Province (Ref. 37771). Reported to migrate upstream during the dry season in December/February in Southern Laos (Ref. 37769). Museum: Mekong at Ban Hang Khone, just below Khone falls, CAS 94316 (Ref. 5515).
