Comments: Type locality of Barbus loveridgii: 'Amala River, entering the east side of Lake Baringo' (Ref. 104790, 104880). This locality is in doubt (Ref. 49139, 52871, 52331) and undoubtedly refers to a tributary of the Mara River in western Kenya, Lake Victoria system (Ref. 52331). Known from Lake Victoria basin (Ref. 52331, 97924).
