Comments: Occurs in Lake Biwa, Yodo River, and north Kyushu (Ref. 559). Considered one of the most endangered fishes (Ref. 11881). Spawning season is from April to August in Futatsukawa Creek, Fukuoka Prefecture (Ref. 37350).
