Recorded from Kei Is. (Kai Is., SE Moluccas) at depths of 232 to 252 m (Ref. 48637). A specimen (3.72 cm SL, ZMA 123.862) collected in Timor Sea was misidentified as Solea cyanea by Weber (1913); the same specimen was re- and misidentified by Chabanaud (1930) as Aseraggodes beauforti (Ref. 75879); this specimen was determined as A. kaianus
by Randall & Desoutter-Manger (2007) (Ref. 75879). Also Ref. 4900.
