Reported from Lobster Bay, Cape D'Aguilar (Ref. 33067). Also reported from Sharp Island, Hoi Ha Wan, Tung Ping Chau (Ref. 94637); and Yan Chau Tong (Ref. 129329). The species was observed on 11 to 100 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). Sold in live fish markets. Commonly consumed in Hong Kong (Ref. 125589).
