Known from Stanleyville [= Kisangani] (Ref. 41594) and Wagenia Falls (Ref. 106245). Also reported from the Aruwimi and Uele as Garra dembeensis (Ref. 41594), reidentified as Garra ornata (Ref. 2801). However, Ref. 106290 only reports G. dembeensis from the Aruwimi. Type-locality of the holotype of Discognathus ornatus: 'Stanleyville' (Ref. 41594). Also Ref. 2966.
