Known from the Mekong basin (Ref. 12693, 27732). Found around the Tonle Sap Great Lake and river (Ref. 36651), Réam, Stung Treng, Siem Réap, Beng Kebal Damrey (Ref. 36654) and Sangke river, Battambang province (Ref. 41486). Occurs in still standing or sluggish waters (Ref. 36686). More common in permanent lakes than in the Mekong mainstream (Ref. 37770). Also Ref. 36662, 33813, 45353.
