Found in the Atlantic coastal plains (Ref. 36579). Known only from the São Francisco river floodplain between the city of Petrolina and village of Ibaré. Considered criticically endangered due to the sharp reduction of habitats (Ref. 97357). Also Ref. 27139, 40938.
