Known from seasonal pools between the Doce creek (18°20'52"S 39°40'12" W) and the type locality, the Velha Antônia creek (18°25'34"S 39°43'00"W), including the Itaúnas river floodplains in northern Espírito Santo state, eastern Brazil. The Velha Antônia creek is located in the urban area of the village of Itaúnas, which is an important coastal tourist center. The Velha Antônia creek and neighbouring seasonal pools almost disappeared due to recent expansion (Ref. 96072). Also Ref. 27139.
