Comments: Known from a group of partially isolated freshwater lakes northeast of the city of Osorio, namely lagoa Emboaba, lagoa Caconde, lagoa do Horacio and lagoa do Lessa (Ref. 47314). Occurs sympatrically with O. piquava in the lagoa Caconde (Ref. 47314).
