Comments:
Collected from Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro, at 1051-2271 m depth. Also reported off southeastern and southern Brazil. Specimens identified by Séret & Andreata ((1992, Ref. 53439)) as Bassozetus sp. were reidentified by Nielsen & Merrett (2000) as B. compressus, B. normalis, and B. robustus (Ref. 75877).
