Type locality, west of Bernier Island, Western Australia, CSIRO H 2566-01 (holotype of Squalus edmundsi, 61.4 cm TL, adult male). Known from the upper continental slope off Western Australia, SW of Fremantle (ca. 33°S, 114°E) to east of Rowley Shoals (ca 18°S, 118°E), 204-850 m (Ref. 58442).
