Comments: Type locality of the holotype of Mormyrus (Heteromormyrus) pauciradiatus: 'Angola' (Ref. 83772). Known from coastal river basins (Ref. 11970, 120641), including Lower Cuanza (Ref. 128501). The report from Bengo River (Ref. 1880) probably represents a distinct species within Heteromormyrus (Ref. 128501). Also Ref. 1878, 3203.
