Found in Mumbai, Cambay, Veraval, Porbundar, Dwarka and Kutch, Laccadives, Gulf of Mannar and Palk Bay (Ref. 45255) and Chilka Lake (Ref. 29108). Occurs in coastal areas (Ref. 45255). Juveniles are often observed in the Hooghly estuary, West Bengal (Ref. 4833). Also Ref. 9772.
