Known from Maharashtra (Ref. 43634); Ombatta stream, Mudumalai, Tamil Nadu (Ref. 44148); Tranquebar (Ref. 1632); common in Western Ghats Rivers, Kerala and Karnataka (Ref. 44149), Chilka Lake (Ref. 29108) and Tripura (Ref. 97593). Present in Buxa, Adma and Jayanti rivers (Ref. 89719). Vulnerable in the Western Ghats (Ref. 44149). Also Ref. 4537, 41236, 43640, 87807.
