Found in Chilka Lake (Ref. 29108); Maharashtra (Ref. 43634), Tripura (Ref. 97593), Buxa, Adma and Jayanti rivers (Ref. 89719), Tungabhadra river, Parambikulam WLS, Chalakkudy river system, Chimmony and Peechi-Vazhani WLS, north Western Ghats rivers and Bangalore and Kolar districts, Karnataka (Ref. 92228).
