Biology     Glossary (e.g. epibenthic)

Collected from caves within the São Domingos karst region in the upper portions of the Rio Tocantins basin. The species occur in both subterranean and surface drainages and appears to be well adapted to epigean habitats as indicated by the overall condition and sexual maturity of the individuals from cave habitats (Ref. 84053).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00355 (0.00145 - 0.00871), b=3.06 (2.85 - 3.27), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  3.3   ±0.3 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (15 of 100).
