Comments: Spawning peaks during December (Ref. 28737). There is little information on the larvae, although nursery areas are known to be inshore, shallow and of low salinity. Threadfin salmon from 3 cm FL are present over inshore tidal flats and in the lower estuaries and foreshores from October (Ref. 1633) to May - during and just after the wet season (Ref. 28743). The level of wet season rainfall appears to influence adult spawning success and juvenile survival (Williams 1997).
