Description of life cycle and mating behavior Oviparous, paired eggs are laid. Embryos feed solely on yolk (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205). Mature gonads are symmetrical in terms of mass, and similar in ovarian follicle number and size (Ref. 58429). Egg laying possibly throughout the year (Ref. 58429).
