Family:  Sciaenidae (Drums or croakers)
Max. size:  50 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; brackish; marine; depth range 15 - 100 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Gambia to southern Angola.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in coastal waters over mud bottoms. Feeds on small shrimps, worms and other benthic invertebrates (Ref. 3665). Minimum depth reported from Ref. 2683.
