Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 7.40000009536743 - 8.39999961853027; dH range: 7 - 30
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Malawi, occuring in Chilumba, Nhkata Bay, Likoma Island and Monkey Bay (Ref. 4991).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found mostly on sediment-rich substrates on deeper regions but is also found in the intermediate sand-rock habitats. An opportunistic feeder that feeds from the drifting sediment in the water column (Ref. 5595).
