Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 10 - 200 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Japan and East China Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Food fish (Ref. 559). Commercially cultured in Japan. Used in Chinese medicine (Ref. 12166).
