Remarks He habitat of Hyphessobrycon natagaima, Laguna Saldañita wetland, is characterized by riparian vegetation consisting of grasses and rooted and floating aquatic vegetation; H. natagaima was collected with Roeboides dayi, Cyphocharax magdalenae, Saccoderma hastatus, Astyanax fasciatus, Ctenolucius hujeta and Poecilia caucana; this wetland was previously much more extensive and is seriously threatened by encroaching agriculture (Ref. 118120).
