Remarks Outside distributional range, probably a misidentification. 'granadero', i.e., a spiny tree with red flowers producing the grenade fruit (thick skinned, several celled reddish berry) from Middle French 'pomegrenate' from Latin 'granata', 'granatus', i.e., seedy, from 'granum', i.e., grain (Ref. 27888); 'narizón', i.e., large nosed.
