| Remarks | This is a nickname meaning 'shaman dance' and refers to the way a shaman shakes his head when dancing. Lingcod and inshore rockfish were taken with special spears and lines. Tanu villagers often speared lingcod and rockfish close to the local kelpbeds. Longcod eggs were reported eatern in Skidegate but not in Massett (see also Ref. 38231). |
